It’s half-past stupid o’clock, I’ve eaten five and a bit packet of crisps, drank a swimming pool of coke and a nice bit of birthday cake.
Why, I can only be on deadline for The Griffin!
And you know what? It’s all totally worth it. Because I got to write some random bits about those packets of crisps, bring together each page on the latest Cartmel happenings, and put together the Pictures, which are arguably everyone’s favourite bit. Right?
If I’m wrong, about that or about anything, let us Mag Ed types know and we’ll get right on it to make each issue of The Griffin bigger and better.
I ended last issue’s intro blurb with a comment about how I was off to start the next mag. And it was right. That’s exactly what I did. This time, there are the small matters of multiple essay deadlines that are going to get in the way, but I’ll be damned if that’s going to stop me for long.
Here’s to issue three, and here’s to exclusive news on Extrav bands, more unusual features, and possibly an advert for Central that will get to me before the print-run starts.

Hello there Cartmel! Hope you’re all okay and enjoying the little bit of sunshine we’re having (of course, I’ve jinxed it now so by the time this goes to print it’ll be throwing it down, sorry!).
We really hope you enjoyed the last issue of the new-look Griffin – if you have any feedback for us, good or bad, please let us know so we can make it even better than it already is. We’ve really spoilt you this time; there’s loads of interesting stuff to read such as the gossip from the Ambiguous Fancy Dress social and the usual incriminating photographs. However there’s also some extra-special coverage of the Patriot’s Cup, which was AWESOME (nice one, Cartmel!). As well, in case you haven’t been keeping up-to-date, there’s info about what happened and who won in the Sabb Elections, so there’s plenty for you to read.
Now I’ve finished writing all this Griffin stuff, I can concentrate on writing essays (playing computer games) and tidying my room (sleeping) and looking forward to a nice long holiday at Easter; have a good one! Love and ertzes,
