Cartmel Gets Patriotic

Hey there sports fans!

It’s been an exciting start to the Lent term for sports in Cartmel. To begin, I’d like to send apologies as I’ve not been able to get the results from Cartmel’s teams, but I can at least tell you all about the Carter Shield and the new, exciting Patriot’s Cup.

The Carter Shield is up and running again for this term and we’ve had two taster sessions which saw the mighty Cartmel having the biggest turnout on both days! A big thank you to the people who showed their faces and had a go, especially seeing as I couldn’t. It would be nice to see more people turning up for the competition days to really show the other colleges just how good we are!

This term we have pop lacrosse, table-tennis, aeroball and men’s basketball. To remind you we’ll send out a poster the week before each event and a little something from the Cartmel group on Facebook. Even if you don’t want to play, supporters will be welcomed with open arms. Let’s send an army of Cartmelians!
