It’s almost here – the event you’ve all been waiting for. The bands have all been announced, the decorations have been made, and soon enough Barker House Farm and The Winning Post will be transformed into the densest of jungles, with roaring animals and thick foliage. The Kaiser Thiefs are our headlining act, the official tribute band to the Chiefs, and they are going to knock your socks off with fantastic covers of some of your favour-ites from Employment and Yours Truly, Angry Mob. The tickets are selling out fast, and with rain forecast for the night in ques-tion it looks like a lot of people will be coming down to Cartmel for the only completely under cover Extrav on campus. But the warm, dry location is by no means our main selling point, so make sure you get in you should definitely come down and get your tickets in advance from the JCR all day, every day– and in Alexandra Square all day on Wednesday!

Before the ‘Thiefs’ grace the stage, three other brilliant acts will be blowing you away, including Max Raptor who will be releasing their debut single in September this year, and a last minute replacement, fresh from Download this year, Wild Youth. We will also by featuring Cartmel’s very own The Clergy. We reckon this final line-up is just awesome and you really won’t want to miss out– we give you our guarantee.

So put your discarded revision in the bin, get into town and find yourself a costume (but seriously, you don’t have to dress up), and prepare yourselves for the wildest Jungle Extrav the University has EVER SEEN (and yes, we ARE including Pendle in that).
