Job Description

The E.D.E officers represent the interests of those groups within Cartmel JCR who may be considered minority interest groups, or groups who may be discriminated against. They must be available to members of the JCR for at least one office hour every week. It shall be their responsibility to liaise with RAG, the colleges and the union to organise or be involved in Charity events.  The female position is also joint Womens Officer for the college, shared with the female Education and Welfare officer. The E.D.E officers also handle issues such as recycling in the college.

Job Description: To promote equality of opportunities for all students and the inclusion of all minority groups into every aspect of University life. Also to promote green issues in the college and actively get people involved in combatting these issues.

JCR Ambition: To promote equality and diversity in an engaging and interesting way that will make people want to get involved in campaigning against the discrimination that minority demographics have to face.
