As you may be aware Cartmel JCR is short of a sports rep (can now be male

or female) and a Publicity officer. In the JCR meeting at 5pm on Sunday

we will be co-opting two people into these positions. This essentially

means that these people will become part of the JCR until week 8 when

formal elections will take place for the two roles. If you are interested

in filling either of these roles you will need to give a 1 minute hust to

the JCR members, and we will then vote. To sign up for these positions

please email our general secretary, Jasmine

(jasmine@cartmelcollege.co.uk).
Carter Shield – Men’s basketball this week! Come along and take part! Meet

at midday in the JCR
Quiz – £1 to play, in the bar from 8pm

Coming up on the 19th February is a Chinese New Year Party in the Great

Hall from 7pm. Keep your eyes peeled for posters! There will be Lion

Dancing, Kong Fu, a Piano Performance, a Lucky Draw and a Fashion Show.

Admission is £2 for CSSA members and £3 for non-members.
There is a campaign going on to improve Tutor/Tutee relationships. If you

have

any ideas on how to do this please email either Holly

(holly@cartmelcollege.co.uk)

or Tom (tom.k@cartmelcollege.co.uk)
If you are having any academic or welfare issues, please come and see your

Ed and Welfare officers in their office hours.

The university is a multicultural place, and we aim to include everybody

any problems relating to equality and diversity please see your EDE

officers. Similarly come and see them if you are facing any issues

relating to the environment in which you are living or the environment of

the university in general.
