Week 8 at Lancaster University means only one thing: elections! In addition to the more standard positions, we’ve opened nominations for our special “Griffin Awards” to be announced at the Winter Ball. Check out http://tinyurl.com/GriffinAwards for more information and to vote.

MONDAY

Vodfest
We head to Revolution for Monday night fun. Great music and fantastic drinks offers all night. Tickets are available from the bar (from 9pm) and include bus, entry and free shot. Can’t be bad for just £3!

TUESDAY

Three Legged Bar Crawl
A chance to get tied up to a friend, and go on a bar crawl through town. We’ll be meeting at 8.30pm in Cartmel bar, then head into town for 9pm, where we’ll start in the Pendle Witch. We’ll end the night later on in Toast.

THURSDAY

Election day
Today is the first of two days during which you can vote for your new JCR Exec and LUSU Part Time Officers. Voting starts at 2pm, and will continue until 2pm tomorrow. Check your emails over the next few days for more information about how to vote.

Comedy night
The final comedy night of the term. You know how it works by now, tickets are £3 from the LUSU shop. Doors at 8pm.

FRIDAY

Election results
At 8pm we’ll be announcing the election results, in the bar. Come down and celebrate or commiserate.

Election party
Sugarhouse are hosting an election party this evening, in addition to the usual Friday night line-up.

SATURDAY

Film night
This weeks film is Love Actually. Come up to the JCR at 7.30pm for free entertainment.

SUNDAY

Carter Shield
This week, we’re playing Korfball! Come to the JCR at 12 noon, and we’ll head up to the sports centre together. Even if you’ve never played, come and give it a go.Iif you don’t fancy playing yourself, come down to support. Bring your Purplecard if you want to play

Quiz
Starting at 8pm in the bar. A great way to unwind in time for the week ahead. Now with the bar serving snack food.
