Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I posted an update on the front page of the site – but the technical isses have now been ironed out and I’m here to make up for it with news about what’s coming up this week in Cartmel.

This week see’s Twist @ Revs bring the Las Vegas casino atmosphere to Lancaster on Monday night! There are prizes to be won, ranging from a digital camera and MP4 player, to plane tickets to Milan and Barcelona! Don’t miss out on what promises to be a night to remember! Tickets cost £3 and include bus travel from Cartmel bus stop, entry, free shot and queue jump. Get yours from Cartmel Bar from 9pm.

On Friday, Roasted plays host to this weeks band – Wagtale – in the bar from 8pm. And the best news is: it’s FREE! Great news for us students

Don’t make plans for Saturday, except for Paintballing of course! This is an unbelievable day trip that is not to be missed! We have a limited number of tickets to sell, so don’t miss out! You’ll be able to grab yours from the bar on Monday evening (before Twist) and Thursday evening, for £20 including coach travel, entrance, equipment hire, 100 paintballs, and refreshments during the day. You may also want to bring a little extra spending money for more paintballs and refreshments. This is a full day event! Meet in the JCR at 9.45am on Saturday morning.

If you fancy taking part in this weeks Carter Shield event - Men’s Basketball - either as a player or simply a supporter, come down to the JCR at 12pm on Sunday, where we can all meet before heading upto the sports centre together. Carter Shield is a great way to play sport in a friendly atmosphere, where it’s all about the taking part!

And finally, round of the week with our famous Sunday Night Quiz! Meet in the bar at 8pm, preferably with some clever teamates!
